About Scoliosis

What is Scoliosis?

Scoliosis affects about 2-3% of people in the US, totaling around 7 million. It can start in infancy, adolescence, or adulthood, regardless of race or income. Typically, it begins between ages 10 and 15 and affects both boys and girls equally at first. But girls are eight times more likely to develop a severe curve needing treatment.

Living with scoliosis can limit activities, cause pain, reduce breathing ability, and lower self-esteem. It can also affect mental health. Kids with scoliosis might be bullied or feel embarrassed wearing a brace at school. After surgery, scars can affect body image, leading to anxiety or sadness. These challenges can lead to feelings of sadness or social withdrawal for people with scoliosis.

Scoliosis Chiropractic Support

Partnering with the Scoliosis Care Center

We are proud to collaborate with the founding clinic of The Silicon Valley Scoliosis Method to expand access to scoliosis education, guidance, and specialized consultation resources for individuals and families navigating scoliosis care.

Introducing The Silicon Valley Scoliosis Method

The Silicon Valley Scoliosis Method is an innovative, patient-centered approach focused on education, early awareness, and individualized support for scoliosis management. By combining advanced assessment techniques with personalized guidance, the method helps patients and families better understand scoliosis and explore informed care pathways that support long-term well-being and quality of life.

Connecting Families with Expertise

As part of our mission to support the scoliosis community, we help connect individuals and families with experienced scoliosis specialists, including Dr. Matthew Janzen and Dr. Michael Janzen. Through educational resources, consultations, and clinic referrals, we aim to empower patients with access to trusted expertise and informed decision-making throughout their scoliosis journey.
